This is a crosspost from the Feline Diabetes Message Board.  Please keep in mind that because of his age and the fact that he is newly diagnosed, this kitty has a very good chance of becoming a diet-controlled diabetic.  Our Annie is diet controlled.  She needed shots only for six months.  Now I just have to make sure she stays out of the dry cat food.  She has not had a shot since 12/8/07.

Dreamsicle is front declawed, FIV/FelV negative, neutered and up to date on his shots...

I volunteer with a rescue group in Illinois, SW suburbs of Chicago.
We recently rescued a young kitty that the owner didn't bother vetting.
Dreamsicle has diabetes. He has been boarded at the vet office for 4 weeks now. He is stable and needing insulin twice a day.
We have been completely unable to find him a foster home.
I am asking for HELP ! Can anyone please give him a home, either foster or permanent?
Dreamsicle is a 3 yr old DSH neutered , orange and white male cat.
He is calm and accept injections.
I appreciate any help offered to him.
You may contact me personally at avlasvich@yahoo.com
You may view Dreamsicle's picture online at www.acaringplacehs.org
He is listed under available cats for adoption.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Here is his petfinder ad which is rather sad because it tells how the shelter came to have him...

The ferals outside are:

Seven...he is about 2, male unneutered, still trying to trap

Oscar...about 4 or 5, unneutered, still trying to trap

Inside now are:

Athenos: about 9
Sushi: about 8 or 9
Casey: almost 20
Angel: Just died at 22
Tequila aka tiki: 4
Salem: 8
Mardi: 2
Doc: 2

Athenos is overweight and needs thyroid checked, Sushi is in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cost almost 4 grand so far, Casey is not doing well, her kidneys are shot, Tiki is fine, Salem is fine, Mardi is brain damaged (he is our Forrest Gump) but fine, and Doc is neurotic, but fine....we are going to trap the other two for either tnr or adoption....theyre so damned smart they keep eating the food from the outside of the cage with their paws...but they do come to me, i just cant touch them.

I meant the kittens you were going to photograph! LOL!

Although your feral list is similar to mine...
we have five from one rescued litter, had two/all of one rescued litter (both angels now), three from another litter, one related to the 5-3 from previous year, Woody, Budha, Homer & Tiffany were technically stray, Riley, Kitty...

Forgot to add Reese and Minnie. They were born in our home (mother was rescued stray and too far along by the time we realized she "came with luggage". Three of the five socialized, but two are Indoor Ferals.

Handsome Orinch & White Kitty NEEDS a home...
He's a beautiful boy. One of my outdoor kitties is orange and white and named Dreamsicle. Wish I had room for him.
